FractionalWire is closing.
I built FractionalWire as an experiment — a platform that helped fractional executives discover hiring opportunities and research target companies, with AI-generated signals tuned to that specific work. It went live this spring.
The experiment answered the question I built it for. The data side: a lot is available, the architecture works, the platform produces a real picture of which companies are likely to need a fractional executive in the next few weeks. The workflow side: each fractional executive has their own bespoke process built on warm relationships and peer networks, and FractionalWire didn't slot cleanly into those workflows. It produced useful supplemental information, but not a load-bearing tool in anyone's actual practice.
The lesson: AI intelligence in niche professional work isn't a general SaaS platform — it's embedded directly into the workflow the person already has. A general platform can produce signal; it can't be the practice. The practice belongs to the person.
AdviceForge
My consulting practice is AdviceForge — helping leaders embed AI intelligence into their own work and their teams' workflows. It's been my primary focus throughout, and the lessons from building FractionalWire directly shape how I approach client engagements.
The same architecture I built in FractionalWire (multi-source aggregation, AI-derived signals, curated taxonomies, personalized recommendations) is what I bring to client work, applied to your data, your decisions, your existing process.
If you saw FractionalWire and thought "I want something like this inside my team's workflow" — that's the conversation I'm having now.
